About Me

 Maria Sweeney is a Moldovan-born, Bay Area-based digital illustrator, author and comic artist. Her debut graphic memoir, Brittle Joints, lushly illustrates her lifelong battle for care within the complex and indifferent US healthcare system while finding liberation through chosen family, loving community, and the natural world. 


She specializes in quality logo design and creating exclusive identities for businesses, products or services centering accessibility.

Disability & Self-Care (zine) — 2021
